“Story to Poem – The Art of Narrative Poetry”
Offered by Tiferet Journal
211 Dryden Road
We all have stories to tell—events in our lives that have led to insights we’d like to share—and some of us would love to tell those stories through the medium of poetry. The question is: How do we get from story to poem?
This specialized workshop will offer you a day to relax, write, and share the art of narrative poetry in a comfortable and nonjudgmental atmosphere.
Gather with like-minded creative writers in a beautiful space set in the woods of Bernardsville, New Jersey to:
- Read, learn about, and write narrative poetry.
- Participate in instructive and generative workshop sessions, as well as in personal writing time that includes lovely and peaceful natural settings.
- Learn how writing narrative poems can help you define and clarify life experiences.
- Discover how narrative poems bring people together through mutual experiences (the details of our individual stories may be different, but narrative poems speak to our shared human condition).
Fee for full day, various handouts, & nutritious lunch is $110.00.
